The Great Debate...

Don't we girls just love stirring up trouble by posting our bra color on Facebook...

Great Facebook Bra Debate: Success or 'Slacktivism'?

Come on world...

Lighten up a little...

Have a lil fun...

Life is too short....

But I just took mine off ....

So I am not tempted to post any more colors today...

And offend anyone else...

Now I am ....

Droopy....

I have a New Year's Resolution...

I know I am a few days late, but do not even think about giving me shit for it...

I am not in the mood.

This resolution is going to help me keep my sanity...I hope.

I am going to play deaf...

To anyone at Peyton PHlaCe that bothers me with silly questions....

Such as....

  • Did you get that done yet????
  • When will that be done????
  • Did you do that yet???
  • What do you need to do to get this done???
  • How long will it take you to do this????
  • Is it done yet????
Can you read my friggin spreadsheet???

It's all there, Mr. FPM and Ms. MEOEB.

No - actually, Phillipia, your spreadsheet is a little confusing because you have all your projects listed on it - not just mine....that's a lot of stuff...

Right out of the FPM's mouth - I kid you not...

Except for the Phillipia part because I keep that lil tidbit to myself....

W. T. F.

Seriously - its a spreadsheet...

It sorts...

Well, you can sort it...

Or most people can sort it...

Starting tomorrow (yeah, I will be working tomorrow) I am turning a deaf ear...

Because everytime I stop to answer one of your stupid question...

I get farther behind...

AND....

For every status question I have to answer....

Because sometimes you hunt me down and glare untill I give you some kind of answer ...

I will automatic add a one day delay to everything on my spreadsheet...

Everything...not just your stuff...

Because answering your question makes me forget where I was with their stuuf...

And I have to back up...

And find my place...

And log back into to the system that logged me out while talking to you....

And I am going to blame you for all the delays...

Every time someone asks me why I am late...

Any questions????

This could work, because there are enough FPMs asking stupid questions that I am sure I will have to automatically delay things by a week every day....

And blaming them....

And soon they will be confronting each other...

And leaving me alone...

To get their work done....

Happy New Year!

For sure I am getting rid of my landline now...

Have you seen the latest report???

Study: Cell Phones May Reverse Alzheimer's

I am sure I have the beginnings of Alzheimer's.

I cannot remember what I did last Thursday night...

Okay, maybe that had a little to do with my amount of alcohol consumption...

But anyway...

I am dropping the land line and starting to use my cell for everything....

So call me...I wanna talk....

440-say-helo...

Yeah - I just made up that number...

I hope that is not some old person's #...

I'd hate for them to think they have Alzheimers because they do not remember Phillipia...

But then, if they do have it, answering the phone will cure them...

Win - Win.

I'm off to let someone play with my boys....

That is what G-Man said to me yesterday as he is walking out the door.

Apparently, what he thought was a double-hernia - because the pain had doubled since Sunday's soccer game - turns out to be a strained groin and a pulled ligament or two somewhere down there in that private area.

And the doctor ordered an ultra-sound just to confirm that there were not any other problems...

Down there....

Because we know there are other problems...

Like his obesity.

Really...

I saw the report with my own eyes.

For his height, he is obese...

I wish I was that obese...

'Cuz, I gotta admit, he is the best looking obese kid I know...

Minus the hairy butt of course...

I only know about that because of the shot he had to get there last year and he told the nurse that I did not need to leave the room...

I should have left the room....

Anyway, I think when I next attempt to on-line date, I will not be put off by guys who openly claim to be obese...

I will ask for clarification first...

Are you obese as in sumo wrestler obese????

or ....

As in firefighter obese:)

Prayer request....

I know this is not my usual style, but I figure since I am wearing a habit, I can get away with it...

Get away with what???

A couple of things...

First, my kids' paternal grandma was given a few months to live in November; she spent Thanksgiving and Christmas with us and seemed to be defying the doctors by getting stronger every day.

This weekend, her defiance started to catch up with her. She got the flu which took a toll on her already weak heart.

As of last night, she seems to be pulling through ok.

But her days are likely numbered.

So I am asking that you keep my kids and their Dad (yeah - the ex) in your thoughts and prayers as they deal with this over the next few weeks/months.

If you do not pray, thoughts are appreciated, as long as they are good thoughts:)

And second, one of my very first and best blogging friends, Rocky Macy, at Pa Rock's Ramble, is going through a rough time.

Rock's Ramble is not a humor blog, and I will admit openly that I just skim many of his postings.

The postings about his family have always been my favorite.

Christmas Day I was sitting on my couch catching up on my blog reading when I read that Rock's Dad had passed away that morning - he fell while delivering Christmas Candy to his renters.

Though I have not met Rock personally, I cried for him. Because through his blog, I know what his family means to him.

But the pain for Rock did not stop there.

On New Year's Eve, after the funeral, as family was heading in different directions to their respective homes, Rock's Grandson, Reed, was in a terrible accident.

Two family members were killed in that accident: Reed's Dad and cousin. And a family dog.

Reed and his girlfriend survived - Gail with minor injuries, Reed brunting the worst of it.

Reed was life-flighted from the wreck and nearly died that night; he has undergone several surgeries since.

I will not go into more detail here - it is on Pa Rock's Ramble.

But I am asking for your prayers and or good thoughts for Reed's recovery and to help his family through this ordeal.

Thank you.

Amen.

How sad is this???

Well, not that sad...

It is a Snow Day!!!

Yep, we have two weeks off of work/school and we are happy to get a snow day!!!

Well, technically, it should not matter to me as a member of the corporate working class....

But I am a snow baby....

If there is enough snow and cold to keep the kids home...

There is enough snow and cold to keep me working from home....

In my new Snuggie (thanks, Ames)...

With hot coffee....

Without annoying FPMs....

Way to bring in the working New Year!!!

Gotta get to it...
