Open Apology

To all my Facebook friends...

All 101 of you...

I love you...all of you...

For being my friend...

Lord knows, I need all the friends I can get.

So what am I apologizing for?...

For totally and consistently ignoring all your requests to send smiles and join causes and play games and join your Mafia wars and beat your high Bejeweled Blitz score and get rich in FarmVille...

I would beat your score you know...in no time at all..I kick butt at those games...

Because once I start to play, I play and play and play all day and all night until I do have the most fertile farm or get the golden nugget...

I may even miss a few days of work to beat the high score if I need to...

Yeah, I get addicted pretty quick...

Which is why I reject your invitations to play....

It really is nothing personal...

But I learned my lesson that one time when I was invited to try a line...

And keep up with the rest of the line-cutters....

Not sure if it is addiction or competitiveness that makes it hard for me to give up things once I start...

But I am not starting again...so quit asking, okay?

Unless, of course, you like rejection.

In that case, ask away:)

Soooo well-put. Who has time for all those freakin' games? I'd much rather be reading awesome blog posts like yours. My one daily guilty pleasure is FreeCell. I allow myself one game just before I turn my computer off just as a little brain aerobics. Unless I lose. Then I may have to play till I win. Yeah, I have that addiction thing, too.

FreeCell is the one game I play before I turn in for the night - and I play the same game til I win it; actually, I play the games in order and keep track of the last game I won. I do not go to the next one until I win; If I somehow lose (aka delete) my tracking notepad - I start over at 1. Yeah - I am a lil weird...

Oh man, Phillipia, I agree 100%! I can get so sucked up in online and video games--especially video games because they often take a lot longer than online ones. I don't play them any more. I'd rather be writing, blogging...a million other things. Thanks for posting this.

I play FreeCell on my phone in Dr's offices, but other than that I'm game free! I get lots of invites on facebook to join mafias and the sort, but that stuff just doesn't interest me. So... the good news, Phillipia, is that you don't have to worry about offending me!

Thanks, CatLady - I definitely do not want to offend you - you are one of my favorite bloggers and commenters:)

Gayle, thanks fore visiting. I agree; I am all talk about beating everyone:) I do love bejeweled - I had to take it off my computer so I quit playing. It is sooooo addicting.

OMG, I can so relate to this. I start these games and then pretty soon I'm ignoring work, my wife, my kids and even my own bladder as I pursue Level 5 glory. I think that's why I won't find an Xbox under the Christmas tree this year.
